Item came poorly packaged. After unpacking all the pieces, we discovered that the corner of the top piece of the island has been badly damaged. It was on the bottom of the package so I have completely unpacked all the pieces. I followed the instructions on the front of the manual and emailed customer service. I was hoping they would sent me the top piece so that I would not have to pack all of this back up and ship it back. It is extremely heavy. I received an auto reply email which asked me to register on the manufacturers website in order to receive customer service. In order to register my product, I had to answer a number of questions which were not relevant. They were concerning ease of assembly, etc. I even had to chose the retail outlet which I bought the item from and Amazon was not on the list, The registration process forced me to chose an outlet other than Amazon in order to be able to move forward. When I was finally finished with the registration, the site would not sync the data. It shows a spinning circle for the last hour. Tomorrow, I will attempt to reach the manufacturer by phone. I will update if I have any better luck.
