After shopping for well over a few hundred of such carts, I was happy to find one that suited the function and look I had been searching for. I live in a small apartment with a kitchen that needed more space to store things in addition to preparing meats and such for cooking. The cart is excellent in that regard. The wood grain was dry, which is to be expected out of the box, but really came to life after I rubbed it down with Howard's beeswax and orange oil. The only flaw I can report was in the cart's back, which arrived damaged. Catskill was very polite and prompt in replacing it, however, the replacement part was also damaged! (A dent about the size of a quarter on the corner). I went ahead and used it anyway--repairing the dent with wood filler. It doesn't impair the function, and is on the back so you don't see it. The final step in putting on the towel bar and knife block was a bit tricky, in that you either need a ratcheting screwdriver or a stubby screwdriver to get into the very confined cavity. But at the end of assembly, you can't wait to put it in place--very nice. A bit pricey, but seems sturdy.

I am VERY impressed with the quality of this cabinet. I was able to put this together by myself in just about one hour with no salty language needed. The instructions from start to finish are clearly illustrated and relatively easy to follow even for woodshop novices like me. The wood itself is very solid, nicely matched, and comes together to make a beautifully finished piece of cabinetry.All the parts were accounted for. The holes were properly lined up, drilled and sanded.The height is excellent, just about an inch below my existing counter tops which helps keeps a uniform look in my small space kitchen - see photo added.The center shelf inside the cabinet has two places to choose from to accommodate a variety of size items.The casters are a great size and roll very easily; locks in place if needed too.I did have one issue with the drawer being too tight a fit; called customer service to troubleshoot and they put the part in the mail without any hassles.In getting a chance to speak with the company I was impressed that they are in the process if creating online video tutorials to help customers get visual/video instructions on how to put the various cabinets together. Still a work in progress for them but shows they are dedicated to a great customer experience.At this price, I would say that for an item that requires me to put it together I should have been hard pressed to offer five stars but honestly the stars are well deserved. This item may be pricey but in my opinion considering the quality of the design, construction, and overall finish I would say that yes, it is expensive but *not* overpriced.Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommended!

I am very impressed with the quality of the materials of this Catskill Craftsman product. We are upgrading from several cheaper kitchen furniture items of the vinyl covered thin wood type. Assembly required more effort when putting in screws due to the harder and thicker full wood panels, but that quality level is what I hoped for. The casters are even better than most kits. One item that I skipped was the knife rack. That item did not seem to be able to hold knives safely, so that attachment was not added.I have already ordered and received another kitchen furniture cabinet of this manufacturer, a jelly cabinet. I'll report on that assembly when I get time to work on it.I highly recommend this brand of free-standing true wood furniture. The jelly cabinet was not as tall, by 4 inches, than that of my present, cheaply made item, but the true wood nature convinced my wife that this was the brand to order.Please carry the full line of this brand.
