I would like to say first that the "list price" listed on Amazon is high. I looked at this same item all over the internet and the selling price was always the same as Amazon's and almost all of the other places had the same free shipping.(I did order it from Amazon because of the "points" on my Amazon card and because of Amazon's always fast shipping).I'm no furniture expert, so the review of the cart itself is just my opinion as someone who nukes a lot of food:The cart itself is well-made, the wood is nice. It feels like a sturdy piece of furniture to me.But here's the real reason I wanted to review, when I don't usually do reviews:I had to contact Catskill Craftsmen because of a piece that was incorrect (nothing major, just little missing pilot holes in one of the parts, a tool-competent person could probably have drilled those in themselves- but not ME) and their CUSTOMER SERVICE is FANTASTIC. They returned my email right away and sent the part right away-- and were very helpful in figuring out what part I was talking about, even though I didn't know what the actual name of the part was (sorry about that, Robin!). They figured it out, sent it right away and within a week of emailing the company, the corrected part was on my front porch. I don't know much about furniture or wood, but I know great customer service and Catskill Craftsmen has it and that carries a lot of weight for me.

Exactly what I was looking for! I have a small kitchen and this cart is indeed space saving.Looks great and gives me plenty of extra room for kitchen storage. There was a minor problem with a broken piece; however, customer service at Catskill sent a replacement same day I called. I believe the damage was a packing problem and I hope that has been corrected. Assembled in about an hour.I did apply 2 coats of butcher block oil on the cart after it was assembled and that was a great improvement. I would highly recommend this product.

This is a good unit with one glaring fault. Even though the illistration shows a microwave on the top shelf the top shelf is not stable enough for a microwave. If you place the microwave on the second level it is fine. The unit arrived with two damaged pieces. I called the Catskill Craftmen office as per the instructions and the replacement pieces arrived in three days. I used one of the damaged pieces to reinforce the top shelf and it is now stable enough for our microwave. The unit is well constructed except for the top shelf. The finish is rough and I went over the unit with fine steel wool to smooth it out. I followed the recommendation and applied few coats of butcher block wax to the unit. It looks beautiful. My wife loves it. I was so impressed with the construction that I ordered two matching islands. It took me a couple of hours to put it together.
