I desperately needed more counter space in my kitchen, but didn't want a "cheap" portable island. I looked around quite a bit and settled on this brand, then narrowed down based on size to this model. It was a little difficult to put together (although i'd say more time-consuming than difficult), and for the first several weeks needs to be seasoned a few times--at first any waters spots can leave a mark because it's bare wood, but it is sturdy and the additional workspace has been a life saver.

really like it. it went together with out issue. Left it unstained but coated the butcher block top. Woud recommend,

The materials are flimsy and inferior. Had I inspected this product prior to purchasing, I might have paid $175, but the fact that the price was in excess of $500 really upsets me. I will never buy an unknown product, sight unseen, again!
